Monday 17th August Broome.

Once again we found ourselves in Coles, shopping for provisions and this time having to load the trolley up a bit more as we expect to be travelling through some more remote areas., especially if we can get into Millstream Nat Park. I’m getting quite good at looking at unit prices and being more price aware! However I’ll be quite happy to let Beatrice handle it all on her own again when we get back home.

Back at the caravan we packed our stores away and started to sort a few things out ready for hitting the road again.

As a last adventure we headed off to one of the beaches so Beatrice could pick up some more shells and coloured pieces of rock etc.

Finally we drove down on to Cable Beach for a last swim and some exercise before heading back to start our departure preparations.

On the way I picked up some cardboard to cover the back window of the car, taping it all down and then covering it with black plastic. This time when we are on the dirt roads I’ll feel a lot more confidant that if a stone flicks up again against the glass it will be protected and it will stay in one piece.

We took down the awnings and washed all the bat messing off it before rolling it up and putting it away in its cover and zipping it up and also took up our outside floor matting and cleaning that and packing it into its bag.

It all took us about an hour which is a great help as it will be less to do in the morning and also the the dew can be quite heavy overnight and we didn’t want to pack away damp awnings.

With all that could be done we had our showers and took ourselves off to Matso’s for dinner.

It was then enough time to write a few cards and catch up with the blog.
