We have spent our days walking the local beach looking
at all the creatures of the giant tides that pop their heads up in the mud flats as the tide recedes way out, with the range being for these days a low of 1.30 mts to a high of 9.10mts. Quite a change!
We are also enjoying the magnificent Cable beach where I’m able to do some body surfing and have a good swim between the flags so at least I know that there is a watch out for any stray crocs that might make their way up to this end of the beach.
Here we chatted to some of the local people who were net fishing and casting lines out. They were confident of catching a feed as one of them had started the fire on the beach for the cook up.
We even ventured out at dusk to catch the sunset and walk the mud flats
