The forecast for the day was a max of 16deg and a slight chance of rain. Well it was about 12 deg until midday when it briefly made it to 15deg, and of course it did rain.
Not to worry we managed to walk into the city along the river once again, the hazard doing this is, is the amount of cyclists that speed along the shared footpath!
We visited the South Australian Art Gallery, the Museum and then we walked through Rundle Mall. We jumped on the free bus that makes a round trip of the city which we did when it started to pour with rain. Had our lunch and then boarded the tram that took us out to Glenelg a beach side suburb.
Once again the weather wasn’t going to be kind to us with the cold wind and rain showers. Still we walked down the main street and also attempted to walk the pier but decided that it was just a bit too cold and windy.
We caught the tram back into the city which had about 18 stops along the way, however it was very smooth and comfortable and best of all, any seniors card holders travel on all Adelaide's public transport for free between 9.30 and 3 pm.
With the rain threatening once again we decided to head for home.Thankfully we covered the distance without getting wet or getting bowled over by any of the cyclists or runners along the way.
Having been on our feet all day and walked quite a considerable distance we were happy to turn on our heater, have our evening meal and read our books. Tomorrow we’ll drive up to the Adelaide Hills.
